I tyed a half dozen. Realized I had not attached the biot wings.
Size12
It is that time of year when the trout can be transitioning in to bigger bugs. Especially Stone Nymphs

They work. Even without wings. I love fish that are dumb
Size 12. Size 14 also.

I am working on a Golden Stone pattern as well. I am looking for a pattern that is better than my standard Guides Choice SH. I have tied many patterns with D-rib and Dubbing to imitate the Golden Stone. Most worked satisfactorily, at times, but nothing that knocked my socks off.
I am mimicking a pattern by Piotr Soltysik. Here is a link to his pattern.

I am working on the proportions I like, along with the material colors I want to use. These two will be fished, and I am sure with success. To what degree that success is remains to be seen. They will be fished in tandem with a Guides Choice Soft Hackle, so we will see.
They are both size 10 on a Mustad 79580 hook.
