I used the technique that flyfud2 used for his Rhyacophila caddis larva, and that I use for some midge patterns.
I will use them tomorrow in a 3 fly nymph rig, as an attractor.

Hook - Wholesale Fly Company model 13, size 16
Thread - Veevus 16/0 Black
Body - Chartreuse Midge Tubing
Thorax - Ice Dub, Peacock Black
Collar - Brown Hen
Legs - Brown Partridge
Head - Tan Ostrich

The more I look at them, the more I see a generic Graphic Caddis



I had no Chartreuse tubing for this fly for yesterday so I improvised.

Chartreuse thread body, Copper rib, and Yellow tubing over that.

I managed a couple trout on it, but most fish took the midges.

I was suppose to be on the river right now trying them out. A high wind advisory was issued for the area. So, I am staying home, tying, vacuuming out my truck, and organizing my work gear for my return next week.

I threw a few Euro patterns together using the same body technique.

I am liking them very much.

These are tyed on a size 10 Mustad egg hook.

That was after he used a snow shovel to clear all the fast food wrappers off the floor of the truck.
I would be checking that vacuum bag before disposal as I'm sure there would be at least a dozen
flies that got sucked up too.

A few nymphs on the generic side.

Is the lighter colored one tyed with aftershaft feathers? I really like the look. Should be a very lively fly.

Both are tyed with the fluff on the base of chicken feathers. One is natural, one is dyed (black).
They are very lively and suggestive.
