What a great name for a river. My home water is the Fish River. ...how boring is that (though aptly named).Fishnkilts wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 9:28 pm I like it very much because I have always done better with dark nymphs. I would like to have some of these for the Cache La Poudre because I think this fly would be a killer.

It is a unique name for sure. If I remember correctly it has to do something about the French trappers hiding their gun powder along the river. I don't recall the reason for hiding it and no one has ever found it. Just a legend? Possibly. But legends are usually based on true events and facts.Mike62 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 2:35 pmWhat a great name for a river. Would moose hair be a good substitute for the abdomen?
Re: Pig Nymph - Black
dark moose mane would work just fine
Flytiers sure have a way at making things difficult
