What a couple size 20 flies look like after 20+ fish. A Slim Shady, and, Red Buttcrack baetis (Buttrash)
A few 15 inch Bows to start the day. Then, alot of size 14 to 20 inch Browns.

Do you recycle the hooks (strip the materials off and retire them), or keep them to remember the day? I have a couple battered flies on my desk that were “retired” after a fantastic day of fishing. They sit on top of my tying desk, as a fond memory stream side.

I retire some for a memory at times. But the best way to strip them on a great fly is let the fish chew them down until only a wisp of tying thread is attached and it is simple to rebuild!
