?????Leisenring Vise????????

I was just going through my personal Fly Tying drawers to check for any critters and what not. Well I lost my favorite Starling Skin it was a beaut but now gone forever, lost a patch or two of hair and fur. Anyway I had to do a deep inspection and put the Enoz moth balls in the drawers and container...

Re: Pearsall's Silk

Thanks Dana!

I have fresh unopened boxes of 12 that I pull the orders from.
I do have a bit of a hard time letting the Silk orders leave the shop.
When they're gone they're gone.

Re: Hooks used on Leisenring & Hidy Dressings

Leisenring preferred Messeena hooks.
Messeena hooks were bought by Venaird"s.
According to Davy Wotton The hooks were in the basement of Veniards for decades.
A flood came along and ruined them before I could salvage them from the basement.

Re: Pearsall's Thread

From what I understand it is health issues mainly is the demise of Pearsall's. Hareline looked into perhaps having VeeVus making the thread but at 2000 spools and less a year for the various colors it is just not worth it to them. This is true of most other manufacturers. One alternative is SemperFl...

Pearsall's Thread

FYI. Seems as if it is now official. Pearsall's is no more. That is the word that came from Pearsall's to Hareline Dubbin, they can get no more except for some Naples in very limited colors. I know someone who bought the last of the remaining stock., Some 3200 spools of gossamer sprinkled in with na...
