I was thinking the same thing Ree, I really like quill bodies, I think they have it all ,slim profile color contrast well you know .a fine job on the blog good looking flies. John Dunn

Mark I think Mr Stewart only fishes one fly, It's a Tenkara style fly and rod. I think he fishes a couple nymphs and that's it. I myself only tie with size then color in mind, I had a young boy ask me what to use and I handed him my box , he was very surprised to find written on the box--Wets==== Gr...

If I am tying a size 14 or 12 hook, if I tie from tip I use the largest half of the hackle and discard the end to get the proper size of hackle. Like I said I strip half of one side and then trim to length for hackle to fit fly, on small hooks we are talking a different method. My descriptive writin...

dd ---tied stem first and with one side stripped came out most acceptable. I like the same technique If I don"t strip half quill it seem to be too heavy, thanks for the post. Best John

Tell me how does one partakes in refreshment with that in your mouth, I think I would invent a Bodkin holder.
