Ray, I was tying the Three Dollar Dip in Montana, using a scud hook, small black bead and a wing of UV fibers. It was a killer.

Ray, did you ever try using some UV material for the bubble back? Just curious how the fish would like them that way. In talking with Jim Slattery some time back, he mentioned that when insects emerge, there are some UV spots on the body. That could make a difference.

When I watched Jim dress the Triple Threat Caddis at his shop, and tied a few under his watchful eye, a dubbing loop was used and each wrap was preened back as the next one was wrapped. Result was a very buggy, spikey thorax.

Maine Coon was my first thought as well, Hank. Possibly a Norwegian Forest Cat. We have a resident ermine that likes our yard. My wife puts out bird feeders that draws a ton of birds and red squirrels. Everything listed is ermine snacks. We spotted him after he had changed to his winter colors, but ...
