Adam—-wet version
My take on the classic dry fly. The hackle is a less than perfect Cree hen hackle .Body of muskrat ,tail black hen hackle flues, silver wire rib, thorax peacock herb—- tied on a tiemco 900 by size 18 to 14. Been using this with success for years. As you can see I tie pretty full. At over eighty I st...

Grouse and Orange
Nothing special about this Grouse and Orange other than it’s large and tied full (#8 2xh 1xl). I use it during the October Caddis hatch with some success and also pick up the occasional summer steelhead. Tied with Ruffed Grouse hackle, orange floss and light hares ear thorax.

Grouse and Orange wingless wet
Nothing unusual about this Grouse and Orange other than it’s size (#8 2xh 1xl) and that it’s tied very full. Find it useful for October Caddis with an occasional bonus Steelhead . I’ve used Ruffed Grouse ,orange floss and a light hares ear thorax.

Re: Tups wingless wet
Thanks for the comments. The hackle color is a light ginger hen hackle same for the tail. The thorax is harelines pink Hendrickson mixed with a little March brown to tone it down plus some ice dub for sparkle. Once again thanks.

Re: Flouro Tippets for Flymphs?
I'm about a year late with this and am not even sure anyone is still on the fence with respect to flouro vs mono. I'm not a scientist but did conduct a little experiment in my bathroom sink. I took two lengths--one mono and one flouro both of 1x diameter and placed them in the sink filled with water...
